Tales Of A Widow

                   Episode 6:

Ibrahim approached his phone . It was a call from his mother...

"Assalam Alaikum ma" he greeted
"Waalaykum Salam" she responded
"Oko mi , how was today's work?"
"AlhamduliLah ma, and how is everyone at home."
"AlhamduliLah! I called to appreciate you and your wife for entertaining me... If you're home already give your wife the phone I need to thank her as well.

Ibrahim headed the kitchen and handover the phone to Habeeba , she received the phone and exchanged pleasantries with her mother-in-law...  She told Habeeba to take care of herself and  advised her to rest often.. afterwards they ended the conversation ..
Ibrahim went to the Masjid to offer his Maghreb salat, he explained Abu Sulaim's ailment to other brothers present. And the congregation appointed some brothers to visit  Abu Sulaim at the hospital.

The second day it was around 9:20 am,  Ibrahim had left for work.  Habeeba was engrossed in her house chores before her phone buzzed.. she thought her mother was on line , only for her to hear her sister's voice.

"Sister! Ummy is not feeling well and we've taken her to the hospital..come here quickly before her condition excruciate ..." Habeeba was about to demand for more information before she realized the caller has dropped the call.
She called her husband without taking much time... To demand for the permission of seeing her mother... .
Ibrahim told her, not to panic because of her condition that he would be there after attending a meeting..

Fifteen minutes later ,Habeeba's sister beeped again.
Then, Habeeba called her sister, that her husband will be there in a while.

"So, sister you're still at home, I just hope you won't regret this later." Aisha, her sister sharply said.
Habeeba was perplexed. "What should I do now? On one hand is my mother, on the other hand is my husband." She uttered as she called Ibrahim again , yet he insisted on going by himself

"Habeebty, calm down she's also a mother to me, AlhamduliLah she had been taken to the hospital . As it is, you can't drive now .Secondly I don't want you to stress yourself due to your condition... This meeting will soon be rounded off. Insha Allah I'll be there in a while and I'll come home to drive you there to see her.

Aishah didn't stop beeping her sister and Habeeba couldn't stop herself from going also.
''I know, I can't drive now and getting a cab might take a while but there's always  commercial bus on the road." She said and left for the hospital.

On reaching there, her husband also zoomed into the hospital's compound...
Habeeba made the teslim, but he responded reluctantly...
The two of them went in and found Aishah at the reception and they all exchanged the teslim.
"Where is she?" They chorused.
"She's in a ward at the right direction. She replied as she led them to the ward.
Habeeba's mother was sleeping soundly. So, Ibrahim and his wife went to see the doctor to know the nature of her sickness...
"Hum..hum" doctor cleared his throat.

"Erm.m...mm , don't panic we've commenced treatment on her but there's still need to diagnose her before giving her the necessary treatment."  The doctor said .
"Alright sir, but when will she be diagnosed." Ibrahim asked.
"As soon as she's awake ,we only attended to her because it was an emergency." the doctor replied....
