UNIVERSITIES TO EMBARK ON STRIKE BY FEBRUARY 5 SAYS NASU & SSANU

  SSANU AND NASU ANNOUNCED FEBRUARY 5 AS THE COMMENCEMENT OF THEIR INDEFINITE STRIKE  It was been reported that Universities across Nigeria are to go back on Strike due to Federal Government inability to resolve the Issues on ground, Says FG only resolve one out of Seven issues Partially. The Joint Action Committee of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, NASU, and the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, SSANU has announced February 5 as the commencement of their indefinite strike. The union announced a two-week warning following the inability of the Federal Government to address their concerns. The unions claimed they had made series of attempts to draw attention to the Government over latent and growing industrial tension in the university system but all to no avail. The two unions had last week embarked on a three-day protest over the alleged government failure to honor the Memorandum of Understanding, MOU, signed with them on 20th Oc
