 MANY THINGS TO KNOW AND GET PREPARED FOR JAMB 2024

As we await the Jamb 2024 coming, there are many things you should know as you're planing to get Jamb Form and apply for your Dream Institution.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced an adjustment in the Registration fees for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for the Year 2024. 

According to an official statement released by JAMB, the revised registration fees for UTME are #7,700 inclusive of a Mock Examination and #6,200 exclusive the Mock Examination. 

During the Previous Years, The cost of JAMB form with Mock Exam was #6,700 while the Form without Mock Exam is #5,700.

Aside the adjustment in the Registration Fees, JAMB has also unveiled the registration period for the sale of Direct Entry (DE) application documents for those that want to apply for Direct Entry into their various Dream or Preferred Institution in 2024.

The sale of DE application documents is scheduled to commence on February 28, 2024, and will conclude on March 28, 2024. 

Other things you need to know is that Creation of JAMB Profile is ongoing, so if you have create your Profile yet, is best you create your Profile and get prepared before the Registration start in January.

You're expected to Create your Profile before the commencement of the registration by 15th January 2024.

To create your Jamb profile through SMS, 

1. Open your phone text message app

 2. Type the word NIN and your Number to 55019 for UTME or 66019 if you're DE candidate, using this Format (NIN 01023456789). 

3. Type 55019 on the Recipient space for UTME or Type 66019 for Direct Entry.

4. Then send the message and relax for your reply.

You can also generate your Jamb Profile Code through internet by following the following Steps below.

First thing is to have Smartphone with internet connection then do the following.

1. Visit the Jamb website online.

2. Click register for UTME/DE

3. Click on create account.

4. Select 'Create Jamb Profile Account'.

5. Input your valid and active Email address and details

6. Fill in the form with your valid Email address, Phone number and security answer.

7. Then Click OK.

Make sure all your Details are correctly input, whatever details you're using to apply for Jamb must be correct and be same with your Details on WAEC or NECO result to avoid problem in the nearest future especially when you're about to go for NYSC.

Below are the things you should also know before 2024 and get prepared.

Jamb Registration Start on Monday, 15th January, 2024

Jamb Mock Examination is Thursday, 7th March, 2024.

Jamb Compulsory Novel (The Life Changer by Khadija A. Jalli.

Jamb Examination Slip Reprinting Date is yet to be decided.

Jamb Examination date is Friday, 19th April - Monday, 29th April, 2024.

I have said this and I will still say it again, Your details for Registration like Name, Age, Religion and necessary details must be the same with the one on your O'Level result unless you want to go through stress of Data Correction when you're about to go for NYSC.

The following are what to do to get prepared and Pass your Jamb.

1. Start Preparing Early 

To be successful in Life and also in Education you should be prepared ahead of time, Make Early preparation, Tackle those Subject that are giving you Headache or you're not good at, Early Preparation make you set and ready to Face any Modified Question that might come your way.

2. Practice JAMB Past Questions

Another way to pass your JAMB Exam and make Parent proud is to practice Jamb Past Questions, Practicing past Questions will get you prepared and show you how Jamb Question are set and there a bit different from what you might have come across before. Get past questions online and from people you know that has pass through the stage or your get them from Book store/Library.

3. Get Familiar with JAMB Exam Format 

Getting yourself Familiar with JAMB Exam Format is also another tips or way of making your Result, Know how the Exam is been present and the format, JAMB Exam format is different from all kind of Exam you are conversant with, like WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or any kind of Exam, So get yourself familiar with Jamb Exam Format and make your Result.

4. Create JAMB Study Schedule

If you're not the type that Make Study Timetable or Study Schedule, Make sure you did for JAMB, Create Study Schedule for JAMB even though it little time like 2hours per day or so. Just make sure you create Study Schedule for yourself no matter how busy or occupied you're.

5. Seek Help when needed 

Another way to make your Jamb result is to seek for Help when needed, get help from people that are more experience than you, Seek for help from Tutor, your Mates that are more Brilliant than you, Your Brother or sister that have pass the stage 

6. Stay Calm and Focused

Stay Calm and Focused, Do not be carried away with unnecessary Activities or Occasion, Stay Calm and Focus on your Study 

7. Use JAMB recommended Textbooks 

Use Textbooks to study but preferable to use JAMB recommended Textbooks and get yourself prepared for Jamb Exam.

8. Attend Tutorial/ Coaching Classes 

Attending Tutorial or Coaching Classes is of great help. There are many things that can't be taught all in School, So you learn more by attending Tutorial classes and have more to achieve before you face the Jamb Exams.

9. Take Breaks and Get Enough Rest 

There is a saying "Work without rest make Sam a Dull Being" or how do they use to say it 😁?. After all the Studying, Reading, Research and everything, Make sure you take Break, Get Enough Rest and also take care of your Health, You can not be mentally down and do anything not to talk of Writing Exam. So Take Break and Get Enough Rest. 

10. Stay Positive

Another way to Pass and make your JAMB result is to stay Positive, Let go of all Negativity from your Mind... Many Fails, Many couldn't make it, Jamb Exam is Hard, Most Brilliant and Intelligent student Failed, Never allow negative thought or Talks to take over you, Stay Positive, You can do it and Make the Result.

11. Connect with your fellow Candidate

Lastly, Connect yourself with your Fellow Candidate, Meet People from your Class, Your Tutorial or Coaching Class, Meet Candidate Online, Have discussion, Share Idea, Practice together and you're good to go.
